Bobbi Brown Stick foundation

Hi,

Hope you girls are doing great! I am very excited as this is my first product review (hoping many more would come) and I will be reviewing Bobbi Brown’s stick foundation called as “4 Natural Foundation Stick”.

I am an ardent fan of Bobbi Brown products for their high quality and pick them up in hoards whenever I travel because unfortunately they are not available in India. This foundation I had picked up while I was travelling to UK since they are quite big there.

Like most of the fashionista’s out here, even I have tried multiple kinds and brands of foundations. This one is a foundation in stick, with a very matte end result. Read on further to see if I liked the final result or not.

The first thing that I saw about it was the packaging. Very stylish, high gloss plastic stick, not so thick, this means very easy to carry with you either directly in the purse or in the cosmetic bag.

The stick is very easy to use, just use it directly from the stick all over the face and blend it using a sponge preferably, since a brush might use a lot of foundation with this kind of a matty finish product. I know some people who can even blend this type of foundations using fingers, though I usually don’t do it.

The foundation is extremely buildable, and hence it will give you a finish and coverage of your choice.

Another brilliant quality about the foundation is its long-staying ability. I generally put this foundation for evening functions/weddings etc. So lets say, if I put my make up around 8 pm in the evening, it will last very nicely till 2-3pm, without creasing or building up in wrong places like neck/ear and gives a very polished result.

Another good thing is, you can double it up as a concealer as well. Just concentrate a bit of the product on wherever required and then blend it using a concealer brush/sponge. Then once you get the desired result, put it on normally like how you would apply your foundation. This is great, since you don’t have to use a concealer separately.

It’s net weight is 9g, which means it will last you almost a lifetime( don’t mean it literallyJ).

This product is great for people with combination and slightly oily skin types. I don’t think this might be too great for people with dry skin types, since it’s too matte and might give them a further drier feeling(unless you are an ardent fan of matte foundations)

Like other stick foundations, this one also doesn’t come with a sponge or a brush.

This foundation “feels” a little on the face and hence, has to be necessarily set up with a compact.

Price:

Approximately 29pounds( about 2400 Rs) it’s a little on the expensive side , however if you compare it with another high- end brand like Mac, it seems ok. Finally summing it up-

Pros-

  1. Blends brilliantly and too fast
  2. Very cute packing, can carry it everywhere, takes very little space to store
  3. Very very buildable, giving exact coverage wanted
  4. Not too heavy on the face.
  5. Double it up as a concealer
  6. amazing quantity

Cons-

  1. Slightly  expensive
  2. Not available in India
  3. might not be good for people with dry skin types

Hence, if you are looking for a high- end foundation with long staying power, having slightly pale complexion , with combination/ oily skin type, this should be your go-to foundation.

My Final rating-4/5

Hi..

It feels finally great to be here after contemplating for a couple of days as to why I want to write…

Many things interest me and so I wished to just write about them and share with like minded prospective friends if I may say…

Will keep this one short and sweet to begin this journey of eternity…..

Love
